Ferrari's FXX has sprouted an Evoluzione version with even more power to give to the members of this 'test driver' programme that is limited to 20 very well-heeled members. 
Those lucky enough to afford the £1 million joining fee now get to play with an 848bhp FXX that has revised aerodynamics and gearbox, which were developed with help from Michael Schumacher.
The
gearbox is a direct result of Formula One technology and the FXX is the stepping stone to it being fitted to road cars. Revised electronics now mean the Evoluzione's sequential manual gearbox can change gear in 60 milliseconds - compared to the original FXX's 80 milliseconds.
The 6.2-litre V12 engine
has had its rev limit raised to a giddy 9,500rpm and, along with some other tweaks, has increased power to 848bhp. Ferrari has not released 
any performance figures for the FXX Evoluzione, but the car is essentially a lighter, quicker track version of the Enzo.
As a member of the FXX Programme, one has exclusive access to the cars and Ferrari's Fiorano test track, as well as entry in six unique races. Ferrari set up the programme two years ago to help develop its road cars using feedback from experienced and trusted customers.

My friend and I were recently talking about how modern society has evolved to become so integrated with technology. Reading this post makes me think back to that debate we had, and just how inseparable from electronics we have all become.
